Physiotherapy Treatment
Your physiotherapy treatment always starts with a 60 minute initial assessment. Through understanding your unique history, injuries, movement capabilities and goals we will come up with a comprehensive plan together. These are the most comprehensive and thorough appointments Steph offers, with modalities including manual therapy, contemporary medical acupuncture, clinical Pilates and other exercise prescriptions based on your presentation and personalized plan. As sessions progress, the use of each modality may change and vary over time, as does the state of your body and performance ability. Whether you are looking to rehabilitate a recent injury, over come chronic pain, or improve a sports specific performance goal, the comprehensive physiotherapy plan will help get you there.

Sterile, disposable needles are used for each acupuncture point, and never re-used. While a small bruise or muscle ache may occur, most people leave sessions feeling lighter and relief. Further, Stephani has extensive training in anatomy, and ensures every possible caution is taken to avoid any issues. It is not advised to perform acupuncture across a pacemaker, and cautioned in other medical situations. Additional questions/cautions can be discussed in person.
-
No! Physiotherapy is traditionally thought of as a tool to recover from injuries, but Stephani treats and trains people far beyond this. Her belief is that physiotherapy, acupuncture, and training SHOULD be used as preventative means for injuries, and as a way to stay healthy in general. These sessions are often a way to improve how your body feels and moves, no pain or injury required!
